Acoustic Chamber Choir
"Rarely does a passion seem so much a matter of the heart as here," was the headline in the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung in 2023 about a concert by the chamber choir Acustico. The program included Bach's St. Matthew Passion, which the choir performed with its orchestra, founded two years earlier, during the Corona pandemic. The young choir was founded in 2013 by conductor Julian Hauptmann and five singers. Shortly after, the choir's first guest performance in the NDR broadcasting hall followed, performing Bach's Christmas Oratorio. Since then, the choir has shaped the musical life of Hanover and the region. In addition to choral-symphonic works such as Brahms' German Requiem and Mozart's Requiem, the choir's repertoire includes sacred and secular motets, as well as a cappella works from the early Baroque to the modern era. Approx. 15
Concerts The dedicated choir members perform annually in concert halls and churches, as well as in unusual venues such as the Hanover Correctional Facility, as well as on regular concert tours. Various CD recordings testify to the quality of the Lower Saxony choir.
